The Zoom VDI has a working virtual backgrounds, but is buggy (e.g., you cannot enter profile settings) and noticeably slower and more laggy. The first time that you open the Virtual backgrounds tab in the Zoom desktop app youll be prompted to enable the smart virtual background package. This created a separate "Zoom VDI" installation on my computer, so now I have two instances of Zoom. msi package, so I had to install Wine to run it.
